This prestigious designation of the AOC Alsace is based on strict specifications, requiring specific climatic and weather conditions as well as hand harvesting. These particular conditions give rise to prestigious, rich and opulent wines.

The grapes are harvested later, when they reach optimal ripeness, to capture the full concentration of aromas and sugars.

Overripeness and noble rot
Overripeness or noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), favoured by a fine late season, concentrate sugars and aromas.

Sélection de Grains Nobles
Only the most concentrated, botrytised berries are picked: a prestigious designation, recognised by decree since 1984.

Hand harvesting
A carefully carried out manual harvest, in a sustainably farmed vineyard certified High Environmental Value.
Serving tips
Serving and cellaring
Wines for celebrations and fine food: foie gras, langoustines and lobster, blue cheeses, exotic cuisine or fruit desserts, for the most special occasions.
