Gewurztraminer

Gewurztraminer is one of Alsace’s most iconic grape varieties, renowned for its aromatic intensity and richness on the palate. Resulting from an aromatic selection of Traminer made in the early 19th century in Alsace, this wine is distinguished by its compact bunches composed of small, sugar-filled pink berries. This grape variety offers wines of great complexity, with intense aromas of exotic fruits, spices, and rose.

Cultivated on silty-clay-sandy soils, Gewurztraminer benefits from a terroir conducive to the full expression of its aromatic richness. The vineyard is managed with sustainable viticulture, classified High Environmental Value (HVE), ensuring respect for the environment and the quality of the wine.

Tasting and Aromatic Profile of Gewurztraminer

Gewurztraminer is characterized by a very expressive nose, revealing intense notes of ripe exotic fruits (lychee, mango) and rose, enhanced by subtle spicy touches. On the palate, the attack is full and powerful, offering a beautiful roundness and a generous texture. This fruity wine fills the palate and finishes with a spicy note that prolongs the tasting with elegance.

Serve at a temperature of 8-10°C to fully appreciate its aromatic palette. This wine can be kept for 3 to 4 years, allowing you to appreciate its evolution and the complexity of its aromas.
